Minister of Disability Issues Visits Kilmarnock Enterprises

The new Minister of Disability Issues, Hon. Penny Simmonds, recently visited Ōtautahi Christchurch-based ADE member Kilmarnock Enterprises.

Minister Simmonds has made engagement with Aotearoa Disability Enterprises (ADE), the representative body for disability enterprises in Aotearoa, a priority since her appointment to the Disability Issues portfolio following last year's election.

Our ongoing conversations with the Minister have been incredibly productive, with her expressing support for ADE and giving a commitment to reducing the challenges and constraints disability enterprises face.

We look forward to working with the minister and the new government to maximise the employment and development opportunities we can provide for people with intellectual disabilities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
